FULLER, BALANCED & NATURAL LOOKING LIPS

If you are unsatisfied with the way your lips look, you may have thin lips due to the aging process or your lips may never have had enough volume. Many people would like their lips to be more defined. This can be achieved by a non surgical procedure by using dermal fillers.

During the treatment, dermal fillers are injected into the lips resulting in defined luscious pouty lips.

The soft filler is injected into the lips through a thin needle. The filler is distributed evenly through the lips with a few injections.

Following the treatment, there may be a temporary swelling but the ultimate result is a subtle natural looking increase in lip volume.

FAQ

  • ABOUT THIS TREATMENT

Topical anaesthetic cream will be applied to the area 15 minutes before the treatment to make the area numb.

The filler Is then injected into the lips. After the treatment the area is massaged. You will be able to see the results of the treatment straight away.

After treatment, you should avoid touching the area and applying any makeup to the treatment due to the risk of infection for 12 hours. You will be given specific post-treatment instructions.

  • HOW LONG IS THE TREATMENT?

Treatment does not take very long – usually about twenty to forty minutes. The first effects will start to appear immediately after the initial procedure, followed by a temporary swelling with optimum results achieved after two weeks.

  • HOW LONG DOES LIP FILLER LAST?

The effects of the treatment last about six to twelve months. Clinical studies have indicated that treatments last longer over time, meaning you should require fewer injections in the future. However, this varies from patient to patient.

  • WHAT ARE SOME SIDE EFFECTS?

After treatment there may be common injection related side-effects such as swelling, redness, itching, pain, tenderness, lumpiness or mild bruising. This will settle down within 2-14 days.

One of the risks with lip filler treatment is the ‘overdone’ look when too much filler is injected into the lips. Over plump lips can result in a ‘duck face’ appearance. In such instances, excess filler can be dissolved at your two week follow up with the doctor.
