WHAT IS A CHIN ENHANCEMENT?
A Chin Enhancement is the act of changing the contour of the chin by making it more prominent or by providing greater definition. It is common to use filler injections and/or Botox Injections to create the augmentation.
As we age, the chin pulls up and gives us an orange dimpling effect. The use of Dermal Fillers and Botox Injections can restore the chin to its original position; creating a stronger chin that is more triangular and youthful in appearance.

WHO ARE THE RIGHT CANDIDATES?
People with a small or protracted chin, or with "orange peel skin", make good candidates for Dermal Fillers in the chin; and they are particularly common in Asian patients.
Chin Enhancement helps to create a more triangular and youthful appearance to lower the face; but it can also be used to help mask a double chin. This can be combined with Jaw Line Contouring, Kybella, and Cheek Augmentation to recreate the youthful triangle of beauty that is seen in models.

WHAT DOES THE PROCEDURE INVOLVE?
An ice pack and/or topical anesthetic is applied to the area being treated. Injections are then used to deliver the Botox and/or Dermal Filler into the chin area.

WILL I FEEL ANY PAIN?
There is only minimal discomfort during the procedure, and there is no need for local anesthesia. Most people say this is one of the least painful aesthetic procedures.

AFTER TREATMENT EFFECT?
The risk of bruising is low. The swelling is virtually non-existent with the Botox. However, with the Dermal Fillers, the swelling can last 2 days to 2 weeks.

WHICH RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?
Results when using dermal fillers injections can be seen immediately. Results using muscle relaxant injections can be seen between 10 days.
Dermal Fillers injected into the chin are long lasting and can last up to 2 years. You do not need to run the risk of infection and scar tissue with chin implants. Muscle Relaxant Injections will last 3 – 4 months in most cases, and can vary from patient to patient.

ARE THE ANY RISKS?
Dermal Fillers and BotoxInjections are very safe. The risk of swelling and bruising in this area is very low, and so too in the likelihood of an allergic reaction.
