Injectable jaw reduction is where a neutraliser is injected into the muscles of the jaw (called the masseter muscle) to reduce its size. In some ethnicities, patients have a tendency to develop overly square facial features. This can reduce the overall size of the masseter muscle, allowing for improved facial proportions in a noninvasive manner.
WHAT MAKES THE JAWLINE BECOME SQUARED SHAPED?
Some personal habits can be directly attributed to an enlarged jaw muscles (the masseter). Excessive gum chewing, chewing hard items like ice or tougher meats or biltong can all can lead to an enlarged masseter muscle. Stress can lead to bruxism (grinding your teeth at night -this can be treated with Injectables for Bruxism or Teeth Clenching) which can enlarge your masseter as well.
